Install Technician
Summary
The Refrigeration Install Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial refrigeration systems in grocery stores, convenience stores, and other commercial facilities. This role ensures all systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company standards while maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities

Install commercial refrigeration equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring, diagrams, and installation manuals.

Run refrigerant piping (copper and brazing).

Coordinate installation activities with project manager and general contractors.

Follow all EPA regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.

Maintain accurate job documentation.

Communicate job status, issues, and completion details to supervisor.

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working conditions.
Skills and Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

2+ years of commercial refrigeration or HVAC installation experience preferred, but nor required.

EPA Certification is preferred but not required.

Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of hand tools required.

Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.

Valid driver’s license with exceptional driving record.
Work Environment

Willingness to travel to commercial job sites in and out of PA.

Standard business hours: occasional overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.

Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces.

Comfortable working in hot, cold, and outdoor environments.

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with hands for extended periods.

Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
